Grayscale: Hyperliquid Will Be CEXs’ Biggest Challenger

@HyperliquidX is now competing with Binance for the top spot in perpetual futures and has become one of the largest crypto exchanges by open interest.
The bigger story isn't simply Hyperliquid's growth.
It's what this says about crypto's market structure.
For years, CEXs like Binance sat at the top of the trading stack because they offered the deepest liquidity, fastest execution, and easiest access.
Hyperliquid is challenging that model with an onchain order book, CEX-like execution, self-custody, and transparent settlement.
Binance is still much larger across the broader market.
But institutions now have another serious venue for large-scale trading without relying entirely on a centralized exchange.
If Hyperliquid continues attracting liquidity, institutional traders, and TradFi markets, the future may not be CEX vs DEX.
It could be Binance vs Hyperliquid for the next generation of crypto trading infrastructure.
