The massive foodborne illness outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce is still growing. The FDA says cyclosporiasis has now sickened 11,458 people across 20 states, with hundreds hospitalized and two deaths reported. Georgia, Tennessee and Texas are the latest states added. Officials traced the outbreak to contaminated iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms de Mexico to Taco Bell restaurants. It’s now one of the largest foodborne illness outbreaks in recent U.S. history and is changing how some Americans shop for fresh produce.
