IDF: Shadi Abu Hatira, a central money changer in Hamas's military wing, was eliminated from the air in the Gaza City area yesterday.
He headed the "Geneva" exchange network, which moved tens of millions of shekels in foreign currency to Hamas's military wing, cash used to pay terrorists, rebuild military infrastructure and advance attack plots against Israeli forces.
IDF and Shin Bet: Over the course of the war, 16 central operatives were eliminated. All were involved in transferring funds used to finance the military activity of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
IDF Chief of Staff at the commissioning of the submarine INS Drakon:
"Even in these days, our eyes are open to what is happening in Iran and its proxies. The Iranian regime is wounded and battered but has not learned to change its intentions."
He called the submarine one of the IDF's central force buildup moves, taking the Navy to new peaks in capability: quieter, farther reaching, deeper and more lethal.
On the war, he said the IDF's achievements are unprecedented, pointing to the elimination of senior figures who made destroying the Jewish state their stated goal.
