PiVerify is a KYC identity verification service available to third-party companies, making Pi’s real-human verification capabilities available outside the Pi ecosystem. With PiVerify, external platforms can verify their users, reduce fake or duplicate accounts, and support compliance-related identity workflows. For businesses and platforms, the need is straightforward: many digital services need to know whether users are real people. Animoca Brands Project Launches User Controlled Identity Network Moca Foundation and Moca Network (@Moca_Network), an Animoca Brands (@animocabrands) project, have launched Moca Chain for portable digital credentials. The project lets users carry verified credentials across different applications. Users retain custody and decide when and where their credentials are shared. Organizations can issue credentials covering identity verification, memberships, and other information. Moca Network says the system could also support AI agents acting for users. Moca Network has also integrated AIR for businesses and AI agent onboarding. Partners include SK Planet, OneFootball, Lamborghini, Nansen, and other platforms.

$CRWD is integrating $YOU biometric identity verification into Falcon so suspicious activity can trigger a real-time check before access is allowed. It pushes security beyond verifying devices and credentials toward verifying the actual person behind the session.

CrowdStrike $CRWD and CLEAR $YOU are partnering to link threat detection with real-time biometric identity verification. If Falcon flags suspicious activity, CLEAR1 can verify the person using biometrics and government-issued ID before access decisions are made.

Some politicians in the UK think it is a good idea to introduce identity verification for using VPN services. It could be that these politicians do not understand what they are proposing. The alternative, that they do understand, would be even worse. Whistleblowers, activists, and journalists depend on anonymous VPN services. Requiring identity verification for VPN services would put them at risk. It would also have a chilling effect on online debate (VPNs can help people post anonymously on social media). In authoritarian countries, VPN services are crucial forcriticizing the government. That is precisely why such governments seek to ban or restrict them. Hopefully, the UK will not join that list.
