Iraq has formally signed Starlink’s operating licence 🇮🇶
On July 17, Baligh Abu Kallal, Executive President of Iraq’s Communications and Media Commission, signed the official licence during a ceremony at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.

The licence formally authorizes Starlink to provide satellite internet services in Iraq under the country’s legal and regulatory framework

Starlink can provide a new connectivity option for:
• Rural communities
• Homes and businesses
• Government operations
• Emergency response
• Locations needing a reliable backup connection
Starlink’s entry into Iraq is now moving from regulatory approval toward deployment
