NEW: @BlackRock launches tokenized share classes for select European money market funds. The firm plans to tokenize share classes of its European Institutional Cash Series money market funds onto @Ethereum, using Kinexys by J.P. Morgan as the translation layer between onchain activity and the traditional fund registers. When we spoke to Max Stein, a director on the digital assets team at @BlackRock, on @_TalkingTokens earlier this year, he spoke about the model that structures like this one rely on, public issuance paired with permissioned transfer:

NEWS: BlackRock tokenized share classes for European money market funds holding $311B, minting them on Ethereum through J.P. Morgan's Kinexys. The two largest names on Wall Street are now sharing cash rails, with tokens transferable 24/7 between approved wallets.

🇰🇷LATEST: South Korea's largest bank, KB Kookmin Bank, is launching @jpmorgan's Kinexys blockchain in August to enable near-instant U.S. dollar cross-border payments. The service will initially support dollar remittances across 10 countries, using Kinexys, JPMorgan's blockchain platform that has already processed more than $4 trillion in institutional transactions.
