BlackRock has launched two tokenized money market funds. The $6.2 billion BlackRock Select Treasury Based Liquidity Fund (BSTBL) now has a tokenized share class issued on @ethereum, with BNY as transfer agent and tokenization provider. A second vehicle, BRSRV, launches alongside it, with Securitize as transfer agent and tokenization provider. Both invest in cash, short-term US Treasuries, and overnight repo backed by Treasuries, and both intend to qualify as eligible reserve assets for permitted US payment stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act. NEW: @Ethereuminsti closed its initial ecosystem funding round, which was backed by more than 100 organizations and individuals from across the @Ethereum ecosystem. The funding gives Ethereum Institutional runway to scale institutional education, market intelligence, and ecosystem marketing, as well as connect institutions with different operators in the ecosystem. When we spoke to @SharpLink CEO @joechalom, one of the anchors of the fund, on @_TalkingTokens last week, he described the gap the organization was built to close: "Institutions want security, trust, and liquidity. Ethereum has all those things, but what it didn't have is a mouthpiece to go engage institutions, to share the facts, not the FUD." "Ethereum Institutional is a go-to-market organization, [they're like] the front door [for institutions]. BREAKING: Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) launches Ethereum Staking ETP. MSIM, which manages ~$2 trillion in total AUM, has launched the Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust (MSSE). 0.14% expense ratio, with an expected 95% of staking rewards passed to investors.
