NEWS: The NAACP has filed a federal lawsuit against xAI and its subsidiary MZX Tech, alleging the company is operating dozens of unpermitted methane gas turbines to power a North Mississippi data center used for the Grok AI chatbot. The lawsuit, filed by the Mississippi State Conference of the NAACP, claims the company violated the Clean Air Act by operating the unpermitted power plant near residential areas, schools, and churches. The legal action follows a 60-day notice of intent to sue sent to xAI in February, which the company did not act upon.
