Neon Genesis Evangelion is getting a new VR/XR game in 2027, Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections. The developers describe the experience as a “crossing experience,” where real-world players, the world of Evangelion, the original TV anime, and a newly written story all come together within the same timeline. The game also will feature hand tracking, letting players interact with the game world using their own hands.
