Pi Network could launch its own stablecoin? GCV ambassador Dimas (@2000Rocker), mentioned that PiPay is an evolving global payment system meant to accommodate a Pi stablecoin. PiPay aims to serve as a global payment platform and has been in the works by Mr. Kosasih (@Kosasihg88G). According to Dimas, Kosasih has been responsible for previous programming efforts, including OnRamp Pi and Pi Oracle. However, official Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) developments revolve around Open Network utility, merchant payments, and the Protocol 27 launch in September 2026 that brings smart contracts and decentralized exchange. Services by third parties, such as OpenPay, can facilitate conversion of PI into stablecoins like OUSD for payments and QR payments. However, the Pi Core Team has never recognized the existence of any stablecoin. Any stablecoin would require the support of the Core Team, regulation, and actual demand for it. Nevertheless, community developments in coding and payments suggest sustained interest in the idea of Pi becoming more functional.
