PC gamers are clearly upgrading their hardware according to Valve’s latest Steam Hardware Survey 16GB VRAM graphics cards have officially overtaken 8GB models for the first time. They now make up 25.9% of surveyed systems, while 8GB GPUs are close behind at 25.3%. CPUs are changing too. 8-core processors are now the most common, with 27.85% of users, just edging out 6-core chips at 27.52%. A few other interesting stats from the survey: >Windows 11 is now used by over 70% of Steam users. >16GB of RAM is still the most popular memory setup. >The GeForce RTX 3060 remains the most-used graphics card on Steam.

PC Gamer got community noted on their 007 First Light review post after giving it a 65. The journo who reviewed this game does not think James Bond games should exist. PC Gamer is a joke. Instead of choosing someone at least neutral, they picked someone who hates James Bond.

$AMD PC share crosses 30% of the x86 market for the first time: • $INTC: 69.7% • $AMD: 30.3% • $ARM: 15.3% AMD has gained nearly 10 points of x86 share in two years showing the momentum against Intel is still accelerating even as ARM grows alongside it.

A PC shop in Buffalo, New York says Amazon sent them an empty Ryzen 5 9600X box… twice. “Ladies and gentlemen I present to you another 9600X ghost edition.” They first received a 9600X box with no CPU inside and immediately requested a refund. They then ordered another one with next-day delivery. The next day, another 9600X box arrived. Still no CPU. They later discovered that both processors had been sold by a third-party seller called The Tech Group and fulfilled by Amazon.

The PC market is in shambles, and NVIDIA's high-end GPU prices recently went up by more than I expected. The cheapest model I could find today costs $4,800, with many costing hundreds more. My advice? Take advantage of the chaos and buy an entire pre-built PC with an RTX 5090 inside for hundreds less.
