PC Game Pass is now playable on Steam Deck without installing Windows. Xodus Nexus is an open-source Linux launcher that lets you download and run supported Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass games locally through a modified Wine/Proton setup. The latest update adds experimental Steam Deck support, including controller navigation and Steam Gaming Mode integration. You can even add the launcher or individual games to your Steam library. Games already tested on Linux include Gears of War: E-Day, Forza Horizon 6, Deep Rock Galactic, Minecraft Dungeons II, No Man’s Sky and Palworld. It’s still very much a work in progress. Some games don’t work, older UWP titles aren’t supported, and some login or online features can have problems.

PC gamers are now reporting that they’ve actually finished PS5 games through emulators, not just managed to boot them. Astro Bot runs around 60 FPS most of the time on a Ryzen 7 9800X3D + RX 9070 XT, although water sections still have major graphical bugs, with broken clouds and some shader stutter. Astro’s Playroom has also been completed on an RTX 3050 at around 25–30 FPS, while Demon’s Souls has been finished through KytyPS5.

PC gaming revenue in Japan has more than doubled in four years, from ¥132.1 billion in 2021 to over ¥300 billion in 2025. It’s not just Japanese games that are helping, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, ARC Raiders and Call of Duty are among the biggest PC games in Japan PC now accounts for 12% of Japan’s gaming revenue, up from 6% in 2021.

PC gamers are clearly upgrading their hardware according to Valve’s latest Steam Hardware Survey 16GB VRAM graphics cards have officially overtaken 8GB models for the first time. They now make up 25.9% of surveyed systems, while 8GB GPUs are close behind at 25.3%. CPUs are changing too. 8-core processors are now the most common, with 27.85% of users, just edging out 6-core chips at 27.52%. A few other interesting stats from the survey: >Windows 11 is now used by over 70% of Steam users. >16GB of RAM is still the most popular memory setup. >The GeForce RTX 3060 remains the most-used graphics card on Steam.

PC Gamer got community noted on their 007 First Light review post after giving it a 65. The journo who reviewed this game does not think James Bond games should exist. PC Gamer is a joke. Instead of choosing someone at least neutral, they picked someone who hates James Bond.
