I’m representing @RaylsLabs in Zurich today with @mcvviriato at the Point Zero conference. This is arguably the most important conference for blockchain and banking in Europe. Marcos is speaking in a high profile panel with central banks, regulators and major banks. It’s a long panel - 1.5hrs and answers tend to be quite long and comprehensive, very different from pure crypto conferences.

Wrapped up Q2 today by presenting the @ZIGChain journey to the senior leadership team at @Disrupt_com This quarter was an important one for us. We launched ZIGMarkets as our commercial engine, announced the 500M ethereum:0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01 buyback journey, went live with new products across Oro, Nawa and Valdora, and continued building serious institutional momentum across partners like Apex, Ondo, Taurus, Beehive, Fasset, Fuze, and a few others. We also took ZIGChain into bigger global rooms, from our own ZIGChain Summit to SuperReturn in Berlin and Point Zero Forum in Zurich. The biggest takeaway for me is simple. ZIGChain is no longer just about building chain infrastructure. We are now building a vertically integrated onchain finance ecosystem where products, capital, users, revenue and ethereum:0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01 alignment all start moving in the same direction. Q2 was momentum, Q3 is where we compound it.

Yesterday we hosted the “Whose stablecoin, whose rails” event by the lake in Zurich. The event was very oversubscribed, more than 50 bankers, investors, founders and executives came to meet the Rayls team. These events are important because it allows us to show to these decision makers that Rayls is a solid platform with a serious team, capable of delivering institutional-grade solutions. We left with several new sales leads and potential partnerships. We had guests from every major financial institution attending the Point Zero conference, and I personally spent all my time talking to many of them, answering questions and showing how Rayls can be used by their companies.

Does the US Government have a ultra-secret space fleet?🚀🚀🚀 There are, and have been for some time, claims by UFO disclosure supporters that there is in existence a fleet or fleets of human spaceships charged with monitoring alien traffic throughout our solar system and even defending our solar system in the event of an extraterrestrial attack. Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, is probably one of the most high-profile persons to have come forward regarding the existence of alien beings visiting Earth. He has addressed the topic in several interviews, saying there are indeed extraterrestrial civilizations beyond our solar system, they have indeed visited Earth, and the United States government may have collected and backwards engineered alien technology. “I suspect that in the last 60 years or so, that there has been some back-engineering and the creation of this type of equipment, that is not nearly as sophisticated yet as what the apparent visitors have,” stated Dr. Mitchel during a Kerrang Radio interview on July 23, 2008. In 2001, a hacker named Gary McKinnon used a series of clever techniques to hack several government computers, including and probably not limited to NASA and U.S. Navy computers. His original purpose for hacking U.S. computers was to seek out hidden data regarding the existence of free energy, or “zero-point” devices, he told Wired in a 2006 interview. In his digital travels he allegedly uncovered an excel spreadsheet with a list of names and a heading of “non-terrestrial officers,” he told Wired.

A ranking of takes on embedded third party evaluation this past week, from worst to best: [contentless sneer against outgroup] METR bad because [huge Sankey diagram]. fact checking? timelines of relative investments that make causal sense? determining which numbers are large or small fractions of other numbers? sounds like some EA bullshit to me. just look at this diagram with all those curved lines, you can SEE the nest of snakes. METR bad because [an actual specific chain of actors who have some pairwise relationship to each other that ends with someone it would be bad for them to have strong COIs with, e.g. "METR once received funding from an org who once received funding from a person who once gave funding to a now-frontier AI company"]. It is beneath my dignity to explain how this actually affects the decisionmaking of METR; you should vaguely perform a mood affiliation and keep scrolling. Don't think too hard. guys guys guys you HAVE to embed my company/organization into the labs. I have been an unwavering supporter of external embedded auditors since 7 minutes ago when I saw this essay taking off. Look at this thing we published once that sort of looks like AI safety if you squint! Fear not, I can assure you that I have never done anything altruistic in my life and if I had I would have been ineffective at it. I observe that [politicized actor] has had [bad take]. Let me use this correct observation to score points for my side and politicize the situation further. === zero point: takes beyond this line are better than logging off === Dear [person with insane take], here is an earnest explanation of why you are wrong. METR is bad/problematic because [an actually reasonable concern, like greater cultural overlap with Anthropic than OAI or the pressure for individual employees to be on good enough terms with labs that they could later get hired], with no further suggestions for what to do about this issue. Tweets which simultaneously acknowledge that (1) more social independence from labs would be good and (2) almost everyone competent is socially connected to labs, even if they don't propose solutions. [literally any take that engages with object level assessment of AI companies done by a third party org like METR, SecureBio, Guidelight, Redwood, Nightingale, etc] === current discourse frontier: takes beyond this line are better than anyone has yet posted === I have [actually reasonable concern] with METR/Redwood/etc. To address this concern, we should do [concrete proposal that makes any sense and would solve the problem]. I am founding a new third party evaluation org / pivoting my existing org to do more third party evaluation. We're doing [thing which is both (1) not identical to METR (2) remotely useful for assessing AI companies]. Our initial work will be on [concrete specific thing that would help]. METR has problem X. We should instead use preexisting organization Y, which does not have problem X and has comparable expertise at assessing loss-of-control risks and misalignment incidents inside AI companies, for instance [past work they've done of similar quality]. (this would be an amazing take but it is impossible to post because no such org exists)

🚨 GoPlus Security Alert: Lending protocol @bonzo_finance was exploited due to an Oracle verification vulnerability, resulting in losses exceeding $9 million. The integrity of every price read by Bonzo Lend relies on BLS signature verification. In this incident, the field value of the BLS signature on the message was [0,0], i.e., a zero signature. The BLS signature verifier constructed a BLS pairing check based on the input and passed it to Hedera's pairing precompile (system contract 0.0.8). Because both the submitted signature point and the referenced committee public key resolved to zero (the "point at infinity"), the pairing equation trivially held true, and the precompile returned 1 (true). Simply put, an invalid BLS signature passed the oracle verifier's verification, after which the manipulated price was accepted and written on-chain, and subsequently consumed by Bonzo Lend.
