PsyopAnime nails it with a parody of the “I’m as mad as hell” speech from the 1976 film “Network.” Crime, the economy, public institutions… Things are going downhill, but after becoming passive and disconnected, the first step is to get angry and stop putting up with it. A call to action is made, and the people cry out: “I’M MAD AS HELL! And I’m NOT going to take it anymore!” Are you mad as hell yet? @grok Writer: Marie

PS5 firmware 14.10 might be the next big one for jailbreakers. Developers are currently testing new vulnerabilities on 14.10, and some researchers have managed to get further into the system than before. There are also reports of Debug Settings being accessed on 14.10. Still, there’s no public jailbreak yet. But things are definitely moving.

PS6 RAM and SSD costs alone are reportedly over $680, according to a claim from leaker Kepler_L2. The post also claims Sony’s PS6 bill of materials has already climbed to almost $1,000. That would be before adding the CPU, GPU, cooling, motherboard, power supply, case, controller and other components. If those estimates are accurate, a $1,000+ retail price would be a very real possibility, especially if Sony wants to avoid selling the console at a loss.

PS5 emulation is now running on Xbox Series X. The KytyPS5 emulator has been ported to Xbox Series X as a UWP app through Developer Mode. Some PS5 games are already booting with sound and controller support. The Xbox version uses a Direct3D 12 renderer and Mesa’s shader translation to make the PS5 software work on Xbox hardware. Performance is still rough: Astro Bot is around 10 FPS on Xbox right now, so this is definitely not replacing a PS5 yet.

PSA: Game functionality will be migrated off of the Blast and Abstract chains on October 19th at 11am ET. Game treasuries and unclaimed Duel Arena stakes on these chains will be moved to @base and @ethereum mainnet as part of the migration to prevent loss. Expect 30min of downtime during this transition. Contracts for our upcoming Genesis MMO are not yet deployed, and will not be affected. For more info, see our patch notes for this update:

PS5 can now make original PS2 discs feel almost like native games. The PS5SX2 emulator has been updated so a jailbroken PS5 can automatically detect compatible PS2 DVDs and add a game tile directly to the console’s home screen, complete with the game’s cover art. The latest version, PS5SX2 2.10, also adds a “Reload PS2 Disc” option if the disc isn’t detected correctly. • Physical PS2 DVD support • Automatic disc detection • PS2 games appear on the PS5 home screen • Game covers are displayed automatically • Requires a jailbroken PS5 • Requires a legally obtained PS2 BIOS and additional homebrew components The feature has only been tested on a limited number of PS5 consoles The developer recommends ejecting discs before shutting down to avoid potential kernel panics playstation has no limits

PSA: If you have any modded or altered files in Marvel Rivals, remove them. Several players are now reporting bans after using cosmetic mods, including skin and texture changes. Some of these players say they weren’t using anything NSFW or anything that changed gameplay. They were simply using cosmetic files, yet still ended up banned. NetEase’s rules prohibit unauthorized changes to the game client, including visual and texture modifications. So if you’re using any kind of skin, texture, voice, or other cosmetic mod, it might be worth removing it before you play.
