I applied for the 30th Anniversary PS5Pro in Japan but I am usually not very lucky when it comes to lottery. Also you need to have 30 hours of gameplay on your account. I only use my JP Sony account for Genshin which I mostly play on PC so I am not sure if I meet it.

I honestly had no problem not even looking into the PS5Pro when it was announced, I’m not usually the type to be tempted by upgrades in technology when my current version works just fine. Same with phones, etc. But now they’ve just announced this… k think I’m sold 😳

PS5 Pro is facing stock shortages in Japan, and Sony has opened a lottery system for people who want to buy one. To enter you need a Sony account and must have played at least 60 hours of games on PS4, PS5, or both between September 27, 2024 and September 27, 2026. The lottery will be used if there are more applications than available consoles.

A new PS5 jailbreak has just dropped, and apparently the PS5 Pro is vulnerable too. The new 13.60 Relapse jailbreak works on PS5 firmware from 7.00 all the way up to 13.60. The exploit was found a few weeks ago, but this new version gets around some of the restrictions from the original. The people behind it claim that pretty much every PS5 can now be jailbroken, except consoles that were updated within the last week or so. Sony is probably not going to be very happy about this one.

My mate has a ps5 and is contemplating buying a ps5 pro just to get the most out of GTA VI. I’m wondering whether I should upgrade my TV for the game. I don’t think there’s ever been a more anticipated media title.
