NVIDIA & VERTIV TARGET UP TO 30% MORE AI TOKENS WITH THE SAME CAPACITY $NVDA and $VRT announced a new AI factory deployment approach at GTC Berlin that could cut the time from project kickoff to productive capacity from 120 days to just 48 days. According to Vertiv's modeled estimates, this could result in up to 30% more cumulative AI token output in the first 12 months, without increasing installed computing capacity. Here's how the new approach works: • 10x Faster Design: NVIDIA's Vera Rubin DSX AI Factory reference design, Omniverse DSX Blueprint, and Vertiv's SimReady assets integrate with Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform to reduce configuration and validation time from 30 days to just 3 days. • 50% Faster Deployment: Vertiv's prefabricated OneCore and SmartRun infrastructure could reduce on-site power and cooling deployment from 90 days to 45 days. • 72 Days Saved: Combined, the approach could bring AI factories online approximately 10 weeks earlier, providing 317 productive days in the first year compared with 245 using conventional methods. • Real-World Deployment: Polar Data Centers is applying Vertiv's factory-built approach to the first 41 MW phase of its AI data center in Herøya, Norway 🇳🇴, with plans to scale the facility to 100 MW. • Factory-Built Infrastructure: Power, cooling, networking, and supporting systems can be designed and virtually validated before construction, with more assembly and testing completed off-site.

GOOD NEWS 🚨 Tesla just dropped its first “Accordion” Supercharger, cracking the toughest physical puzzle in EV infrastructure: deploying high-power stalls directly between parking spaces where no perimeter curb exists 🔥 Instead of assembling equipment piecemeal outdoors, a massive factory-built package arrives on a truck and expands directly down an active parking row 🔥 And this design did not happen overnight. To appreciate why this rollout is such a big deal, you have to look at how Tesla spent the past several years systematically re-engineering Supercharger deployment from the ground up. 📐 The evolution of prefabrication The original prefabricated Superchargers proved that factory assembly beat bespoke on-site construction, but they topped out at 12 stalls per shipment and were strictly confined to curb-backed perimeters. The Folding Unit introduced earlier this year solved the transport bottleneck by packing 16 stalls onto a single truck, yet the hardware still remained tethered to those perimeter curb lines. The new Accordion design preserves that dense 16-stall shipping volume while finally breaking free from curb constraints, allowing Tesla to drop pre-assembled charging banks straight into interior parking rows across existing parking lots. The real genius here is not a new charging post itself, but exactly how Tesla packages and deploys the entire site: ⚙️ How an accordion module unfolds into an active parking row For tightly packed transport, the Accordion skips rigid frames in favor of pure shipping density. Sixteen stalls fit on a single curtain-side truck shipment, delivered as two distinct systems where eight charging posts and their individual precast concrete bases are clustered tightly around an associated V4 power cabinet. Once unloaded from the truck, the Accordion layout takes shape as crews spread those precast bases along a prepared trench. Thick, flexible conduits uncoil alongside the posts exactly like an accordion, carrying factory-installed connections from the cabinet toward each dispenser and allowing the footprint to stretch to match the exact parking layout. This streamlined civil work does not eliminate excavation entirely, since crews still need to dig the trench, crane the hardware into place, backfill the dirt, and lay surface pavers. But by factory-building the post foundations and equipment integration, Tesla successfully reduces chaotic on-site construction to a highly repeatable trench-and-drop operation. 🔌 Factory wiring meets intelligent power-sharing With factory-assembled wiring built right in, the DC side arrives completely pre-wired from the manufacturing line. Contractors never have to build high-current DC connections one painful connection at a time out in the elements. Traditional utility connection and site prep work are still necessary, because the location still requires local grid-side alternating-current service, switchgear, and utility sign-off. However, once those standard electrical steps are wrapped up, Tesla claims the hardware is ready for instant commissioning, drastically cutting the time it takes to power the stalls on. Through dynamic power-sharing, the cabinet routes up to 1.2 MW of total throughput across the eight dispensers. While an individual passenger car post can peak at 500 kW, charging peaks are brief and rarely coincide. Real-world passenger car demand across eight posts requires less than 1 MW of power roughly 99% of the time, making this 1.2 MW shared pool an exceptionally efficient setup. --- The Accordion makes one thing abundantly clear: Tesla no longer treats electric vehicle charging as bespoke outdoor construction. While many conventional charging projects still arrive as a mountain of raw conduit, loose parts, and months of outdoor assembly, Tesla is rolling complete, pre-wired charging rows right off a factory line. Utilities and local grid capacity will always set the ultimate speed limit for energizing a site. But by compressing most of the charger-side hardware into a single truckload that stretches into place in a matter of days, Tesla is systematically removing physical installation as a bottleneck holding back network expansion.
