Starship might be able to start delivering usable satellites and payload to orbit in "expendable mode" (where both Starship and Booster are destroyed) as early as *the next launch* - this could be big! Here's why...
Even in "expendable" mode, IF a full stack (booster+Starship) costs $100 Million (public estimates), SpaceX could charge upwards of $250 Million for a single launch. If it can deliver 100 Tons to orbit. That would mean ~$2.5 Million per ton, which is an awesome price, despite not having reusability and would still provide good gross margins for SpaceX.
Falcon 9 still costs over $3 Million per ton to orbit.
Kind of cool. Especially because I think SpaceX might still be quite a ways away from full reusability (my guess would be 2028 at earliest).
