GOOGLE WARNS OF HACKING CAMPAIGN TARGETING WALL STREET Google says ransomware hackers have targeted dozens of major U.S. financial firms using phone-based social engineering to steal employee credentials. Hackers created fake IT helpdesk websites targeting firms including Blackstone, Apollo, KKR, TPG, CME Group, Moody's, Bridgewater and Bain Capital. Google said some victims paid ransoms, though it did not identify them. The campaign relied on convincing employees to reveal passwords and MFA codes rather than advanced hacking techniques.

US companies are increasingly encountering AI-driven cyberattacks and ransomware that steals data, per Reuters
🚨 BREAKING: AnMed's Facebook page was hijacked today to post a ransomware extortion note directly to patients — two weeks after a cyberattack knocked out the nonprofit medical system's IT. The messages, attributed to The Gentlemen, claim 6TB was taken from the Georgia/South Carolina hospital system, including rape victim testimonies, HIV-positive lists, abortion and pediatric psychiatric records. AnMed says the claims are unverified. Ten facilities were still closed Monday, 16 days after the July 26 attack.

Coca-Cola has temporarily suspended production at its Fairlife dairy operations across the U.S. after a ransomware attack affected production-related systems. The company says a third party gained unauthorized access to part of Fairlife’s network, forcing it to shut down U.S. production while the incident is investigated and systems are restored.
