The team behind Final Fantasy Resonance shared more details at PAX West 2026, including how they rebuilt parts of the original mobile experience for console and PC. The developers say the Earth Shrine and other areas were rebuilt from the ground up as fully explorable 3D locations. Characters from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, including Nichol, Jake and Lid, will also have side quests exploring their stories and relationships. On the concerns about the game’s mobile origins: “We truly feel this demo will kind of dispel any kinds of uncertainty or concerns that people may have had.” The game looks better every time I find news things from it

A new mod for the demo of Final Fantasy Resonance adds Ariana as a playable character from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, including her “Dangerous Woman bunny outfit” Grande originally appeared in Brave Exvius in 2017, but Square Enix decided not to bring her back for Resonance. Producer Keisuke Nakashima said her character didn’t really fit the vibe they were going for with the new game. “It’s also part of the worldview, you know? Ariana Grande’s character would not fit within the vibe that we’ve created for Final Fantasy Resonance.” The mod also adds other guest characters, including Sora from Kingdom Hearts and 2B from NieR:Automata.
