At PAX West: “I think that they’re hearing a lot of the feedback from customers.” Code-in-a-box is one option. “It’s possible that the discussion may change in the future.” NISA’s business is limited editions. He says they still intend to keep making those. Disc manufacturing for new games is still slated to stop January 1, 2028. Clearly leaving the door open.

Quake Champions is done being free-to-play. id Software and Bethesda flipped the arena shooter to a $9.99 Steam-only game with update 1.31. The Microsoft Store version is gone. If you already had Champions before September 23, you keep it. New players pay ten bucks and get the whole pile: every Champion unlocked, most cosmetics included, and eight years of seasonal stuff bundled in. The live-service layer is stripped out.
