French-Palestinian MEP Rima Hassan deliberately destroyed an exhibition inside the European Parliament commemorating the victims of Hamas’s October 7 massacre, where she knocked the Israeli and EU flags to the floor, stepped over them, and walked away. Hassan also confronted Israeli artist Yaron Bob, whose work was displayed at the exhibition, and told him “Israel doesn’t exist” after he identified himself as Israeli. At least four members of the exhibition team witnessed the incident. Hassan, 34, was born in a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria and represents France’s far-left La France Insoumise (LFI) party in the European Parliament. Israel previously denied her entry over her support for boycott campaigns, and she later participated in a Gaza-bound flotilla that was intercepted by Israel.

Abdulkarim Al-Rimawi was released after 25 years in Israeli prison. The daughter he left as a one-year-old holds a master's degree today. Both parents died while he was inside—he was not permitted to say goodbye to either. And his son Majd, born after his arrest, he was meeting for the first time. Al-Rimawi is from Beit Rima, near Ramallah. Israel sentenced him in 2001, during the Second Intifada, while he was studying journalism at Birzeit University.

The Prime Minister instructed the Commander of the IDF Home Front Command to reinforce the guidelines and warnings for the general public, emphasize the strict prohibition against touching unexploded ordnance, and to conduct extensive searches to locate unexploded items. Eitan Masauri, a 14-year-old student who was injured by shrapnel in his neck, recounted the incident: "I realized I was hurt; I saw that a friend was injured, and I tried to help him."
