SF Fed President Mary Daly is giving a speech tonight (Thursday morning in Tokyo) laying out a bimodal outlook. She said scenario one had been and remains her base case, but scenario two has really been gaining ground and you should “be thoughtful enough to move it to the front of your desk.”
Why didn’t the Fed move in July? She said this isn’t really about fine-tuning. This is about determining whether you’re in a different world, and one that requires a bigger policy adjustment. “We will get more information… and we might have a very different situation” if recent shocks subside.
SF says Emma Little-Pengelly has serious questions to answer after reports that she told a young woman Jeffrey Donaldson was "a danger" to her. PBP's Gerry Carroll says the deputy First Minister should step aside while the "full truth is investigated".
SF Matt Carthy asks the FF justice minister Jim O'Callaghan how many of the estimated 50,000 asylum seekers who have arrived in Ireland via N Ireland in 2020-2025 have been returned to the UK.
And the answer is....... ONE (or at least one removal order signed, we don't know if the removal has taken place).
How is Jim O'Callaghan still in any senior role, let alone a mooted candidate for next FF leader?
