"what even is GEO and how do i do it?" GEO (generative engine optimization): >search ur product category in chatgpt, perplexity, and claude right now. if ur not in the answer dont worry its fixable >comparison posts are the #1# cited content format. write "[ur product] vs [competitor]" for ur top 5 competitors this month. >reddit mentions with upvotes are weighted heavily. show up on reddit weekly. (tho this might be changing soon haha) >directory listings are trust signals. submit to every niche directory in ur category today. takes 5 min each. >structured Q&A content gets cited more than narratives. write posts that directly answer "what is the best tool for [X]" >ur docs and readme are fair game. write them in natural language not jargon. >freshness matters. a post from this month outranks a post from last year. (make sure to mark the last edited date of your content) >perplexity and chatgpt pull from different sources. check both. >google rankings and AI citations are different games. u can rank #1# on google and not be number 1 recommended in chatgpt. >AI models prefer third party mentions over first party content. get other ppl talking about u. >check ur GEO rankings weekly. this is a moving target not a set-and-forget. the founders doing this right now will own their category in AI search by 2027.

the cold email deliverability checklist: >separate domain for outbound. never send from ur main domain. ever. >warm up the domain for 2 weeks minimum before sending a single cold email >plain text only. no images. no html signatures. no tracking pixels. >no link in the first email. the first email is supposed to be a hook >30 sends per mailbox per day. not 50. 30. >rotate 3-5 mailboxes so no single one gets burned >verify every email at send time not at import. data decays daily. >follow up 3 times minimum. over 50% of positive replies come from follow-ups 2-4. >if ur reply rate is below 3% the list is bad. stop blaming the copy.

the most slept on outbound strategy in 2026: >go to linkedin and search for companies hiring for the role ur product replaces >a company posting "hiring a social media manager" is a company that needs social media help RIGHT NOW >thats a warm lead. they just told u their budget and their pain. now: >pull the hiring managers name from the job post >enrich their email using apollo, prospeo, or any waterfall provider (like jam ;) >check their company linkedin and website to understand what they actually sell >write a 3 line email: reference the job post, explain how ur product does what theyre hiring for at a fraction of the cost, ask for 15 min thats it. u are emailing someone who literally just publicly announced they have the problem u solve and they have budget allocated for it.

the majority of the ai bubble is just ppl building products to sell to other ppl who are building products to sell to other ppl who are building products at some point someone has to sell to a normal person lmao

warm outbound crushes cold outbound and its not even close cold outbound math: >scrape 5000 emails from apollo >blast the same template >0.5% reply rate >thats 25 replies. maybe 2-3 meetings. maybe 1 close. warm outbound math: >find 100 companies hiring for the role ur product replaces (they just told u they have the budget AND the problem) >enrich the hiring managers email >send a 3 line email referencing the job post >12-15% reply rate >thats 12-16 meetings. 6-10 closes.

i spent some time reverse engineering how cal went from unknown to the #1# chatgpt recommended scheduling tool: >they have 47 comparison blog posts ("cal vs calendly", "cal vs savvycal", etc.) and even more general posts >every single one is structured as a direct answer to the exact question ppl ask AI chatbots >they show up in 23 niche directories that most competitors ignored >their github repo has 45,000+ stars >they have 200+ reddit mentions with upvotes in relevant subreddits chatgpt recommends them because the internet already talks about them in all the places AI models pull from. this isnt luck. this is engineered visibility. this is possible for u to do

talked to a founder who gets 80% of his signups from reddit. he doesnt run ads. doesnt post content. doesnt have a following. he posts and replies to ppl who have the problem his product solves 3x per week been doing it for 8 months. 2000 paying users. everyone is overcomplicating this.

first time I saw founders fly a plane for their launch video
We learned how to fly a plane to tell SF one thing. Introducing the Vendo (YC S26) Full-Stack Agentic Interface. A production-ready agent for your users with everything they need. It takes real actions for your users. And it can even build whole new features, micro-apps, and automations, right on top of your product. Built-in permissioning, tool guards, user context, and more. Everything you need for a user-facing agent. One command to install. Open source. @runvendo @nourzahzah

did an experiment: took 10 startups and searched their exact category in chatgpt, perplexity, and claude 8 out of 10 didnt show up in any of them then we looked at the products that DID show up every single one had blog content specifically written to answer the questions these AI models get asked it isnt even just seo. like a good amount of the stuff getting cited isnt even top 10 on google. its down to the format.

overheard two founders at a cafe in sf arguing about whether to use claude or gpt for their product the barista leaned over and said "have u tried using both with a router" this city is actually cooked

quick thought: the difference between a $0 startup and a $1M startup is usually just someone who was willing to be annoying about getting customers
every startup will have an AI agent that handles distribution the same way they have one that handles code building is already automated. distribution is next. we've been building that at jam and watching it happen in real time

looking back at when i was a kid i always thought id do something great like when i was 13 my game plan was to build stuff and sell stuff and looking back idk why i thought at that time that i would be able to do that but for some reason i firmly believed it and that delusion paid off to today lmao

luke warm take: the best time to be alive as a builder is right now and its not even close 10 years ago u needed a team of 10 to ship what one person can do today 5 years from now the window will be smaller cuz ppl would have caught up right now is the gap. abuse it.
