We went stargazing last night in New Zealand. It is CRAZY that: 1. Our milky way galaxy is right there in the night sky EVERY DAY, but we just couldn't see it because of the city light pollution (and cloud) 2. We captured these pic with our iPhone last night! Our tour guide taught us a secret that if you put your phone on a tripod, ios will enable a special mode that allows you to take a 30-second long-exposure photo!!!

A new study by Outforia revealed the best U.S. national park site for stargazing. The study looked at whether the park has been recognized and certified by DarkSky, the Bortle rating and the likelihood of clear nights, to create an overall stargazing score. Read more: Photo: Getty Images
