Subnets are better than altcoins. Today’s episode gets into exactly why. We’re talking Bittensor TAO, subnet market updates, Cathedral moving into its own slot, Chutes shipping Qwen3.8-27B, Bitcast turning into real infrastructure, and what Stripe buying OpenRouter could mean for decentralized AI. The gap between “crypto token” and “actual network being used” is starting to matter. New episode is live. **CHAPTERS** 00:00:00 - Shizzy’s Monologue 00:04:43 - Intro Song 00:05:07 - Bittensor TAO Market Update 00:07:13 - Bittensor Subnet Update 00:13:43 - The Announcement Before the Announcement for @forevermoney_ai : Why It Never Works 00:15:33 - Altcoin Daily: Bitcoin, Ethereum & Bittensor 00:17:15 - From Deprecated to Cathedral: Built in the Open, Moving to Its Own Slot 00:18:52 - The American People Are Tired of AI Fearmongering and the Push Toward a Duopoly 00:20:18 - Stripe Acquires OpenRouter for 7B+: What Does This Mean for Bittensor Subnets? 00:21:36 - @chutes_ai : Qwen3.8-27B Is Already Live 00:22:30 - @Bitcast_network Is Becoming Infrastructure: 2 Apps Live, Another Launching, 5 More Exploring 00:23:50 - Check Out ShizzyUnchained dot com bittensor:native

Engy (subnet 53) will be number 1 subnet, will be a good year and a lot of hard work is starting to finally pay off
XDC subnets keep enterprise transactions private while anchoring to the public chain Enterprises that need private ledgers cannot post transactions to a public chain. @XDCNetwork's answer is the subnet, a permissioned chain the customer wholly owns, running the same consensus engine as mainnet. A relayer, a small program bridging the two, periodically checkpoints the subnet's consensus data to a smart contract on xdce-crowd-sale:native mainnet, which verifies and records each snapshot. Only block headers cross over, the compact summaries identifying each block rather than its contents. The transactions themselves never appear on the public chain, per XDC's documentation. Those recorded checkpoints mean subnet history cannot be quietly rewritten without the mismatch showing on mainnet.

Manhattan sublease space disappearing thanks to AI firms
Imagine 100 successful Bittensor subnets each generating $1M in annual revenue and allocating 50% toward bittensor:native funded alpha buybacks. That’s $50M in annual external buying pressure for $TAO. eTAO was a great addition, and I’d genuinely love to see more established subnets setting their owner emissions to 0%, redirecting those rewards toward miners, validators and stakers. But the real milestone would be seeing subnets consistently buying and burning alpha using revenue earned from actual customers, rather than relying on recycled emissions. That’s when Bittensor starts looking less like an ecosystem funded by $TAO and more like an economy generating organic demand for $TAO.
