Sunrise over USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) in the Arabian Sea this morning. The Nimitz class aircraft carrier has returned to operating in the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM)/U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet area of operations after a port visit to Phuket, Thailand, the first of its deployment. Bush left Norfolk on March 31 and spent roughly six months supporting U.S. operations in the Middle East before the stop. It arrived in Phuket October 4th with the destroyer USS Delbert D. Black and about 4,800 personnel aboard.
