A milestone decades in the making, it highlights the importance of long-term planning and robust regulation in supporting the future of nuclear energy. It also reinforces an important fact: nuclear is one of the few industries that incorporates long-term waste management and disposal planning into its regulatory and funding frameworks from the outset.
