As Terraria turns 15 years old, Re-Logic has shared big news about the game’s future in their official post. Head of Business Strategy Ted “Loki” Murphy said: “Well, for now we are comfortable confirming that Crossplay is on deck soon… and that Terraria Updates will continue beyond 1.4.6/Crossplay. How that will work and what those entail will be shared as we go along. You will want to stay tuned for that. Beyond that, we have other plans and ideas that we will share when the time is right, but suffice it to say that the world of Terraria remains and will remain vibrant and alive for as long as we have anything to say about it. Here’s to 15 more years… and beyond!” This news comes after the recent 1.4.5 “Bigger and Boulder” update. It shows the team will keep adding new things to the game on all platforms.

My book "Porting Video Games to Fast Simulators with Agents" is out! Over the past year, I've been trying all sorts of tricks to reimplement my favorite games in rust, C, and CUDA so I could have more control and even get them so fast that I could train neural nets in them. I've done this for Minecraft 1.11.2 (netherite -- my pinned), New Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario Kart Wii, and Terraria. This guide is aimed at not just documenting the process, but showing a super sped up version of the /goals I ran and the decisions I made at each step, letting you stumble into the same questions to learn my style properly. I aim to iterate on this like I do with all my projects, so I'm super pumped for any feedback you have. I included a ton of visuals and poured my heart into making this a fun and smooth read. Hope you enjoy!

Pocketpair says Palworld has turned down a huge number of potential collaborations because they simply didn’t make sense for the game. John “Bucky” Buckley, Pocketpair’s head of publishing and communications, explained that the studio has always followed a “fun-first approach” with crossovers. “You guys simply do not realize the sheer number of collabs we’ve rejected or scrapped for that reason.” According to Buckley, collaborations like Terraria and Valheim worked because they fit naturally with Palworld’s survival gameplay and overall tone.
