WATCH# | Delhi: CJP's ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ protest | Rajeev Ranjan, Additional CP, Delhi Police PRO says, "I would like to clarify that no one has contacted us regarding this matter. We have not received any communication or request concerning a specific list of individuals. There is an established 'Flag Code' that mandates that the National Flag must be hoisted with the utmost respect. All the rules stipulated in the Flag Code have been officially notified and are available in the public domain. In fact, just a short while ago, we shared a post on social media outlining the precautions that every individual, every citizen of India, should observe when hoisting the flag."
Further, he says, "Sharing the personal information of any police officer—or, indeed, any individual—on social media in this manner constitutes a clear violation of their privacy. It has come to our attention that certain social media accounts are isolating photographs or videos of police officers performing their duties and subsequently sharing their personal information online. This is entirely wrong and unlawful."
