Voyager 1, the farthest spacecraft from our planet, has powered down another science instrument as it explores uncharted interstellar space — a move that could buy time for an ambitious attempt to extend the probe’s impressive lifespan.

When we launched the Voyager Scholarship at the @ObamaFoundation in 2022, we were excited to see what young people would do with the right support. And now we know! Our first two cohorts of scholarship recipients have shown incredible passion, curiosity, and initiative while working hard across their college campuses.  Today we’re excited to welcome our third cohort of Voyagers. They make me more hopeful than ever that our future is in good hands. Michelle, @Bchesky, and I are rooting for you.
