Lost some acreage on paper but at least the WiFi is strong. $TSLA
SpaceX deliberately accepted lower-revenue airline deals so Starlink WiFi wouldn’t be locked behind annoying portals, and complicated logins. The goal was simple: internet in the sky should just work, fast, easy, and available to passengers like WiFi at home. Once again Elon Musk chose customer experience over money. NEWS: SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) became the first European airline to launch Starlink-powered high-speed WiFi on an Airbus A320, rolling out across its A320 fleet starting March 24, 2026. EuroBonus members get free gate-to-gate connectivity through a partnership with mobile network operator 3. Speeds reach 500+ Mbps, powered by Starlink's 10,000+ low-Earth orbit satellites. SAS expects a substantial share of its A320 fleet connected before summer season. The service enables consistent performance at northern latitudes and on traditionally challenging routes (Atlantic, North Sea). SAS conducted a successful demonstration flight in January. The rollout will expand to additional aircraft types later in 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
