MagicBot X1 is back with new dance moves. It’s already shown off fencing and a basketball dunk. It’s roughly Unitree H2-sized: 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in), 70 kg (154 lb), with 31 active degrees of freedom, including seven in each arm and three at the waist. It uses an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module, with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor available as an option. Its sensor suite includes stereo cameras, head and waist RGB-D cameras, and optional LiDAR. It also has dual hot-swappable batteries. It’s taller than EngineAI’s T800 and looks more agile to me. If it steps into robot combat, we could have another heavyweight contender.

We're proud to see our QUANTA X1 Pro wheeled bimanual robot deployed at Lululemon’s Wuhan Distribution Center, which officially opened on September 16. Developed by @lululemon in partnership with @SFlogistic , the center uses automated equipment and end-to-end RFID-enabled processes. On the logistics line, QUANTA X1 Pro handles and organizes parcels as part of daily operations. Following our live dual-arm logistics demonstration at WRC, QUANTA X1 Pro is now working in a real warehouse environment. #EmbodiedAI# #Robotics# #SmartLogistics#

From @ChipsandCheese9 coverage. Reminds me of when ARM showed benchmarks of X1 with double L2, nobody chose double L2 option, and both Android SoC ppl and ARM finger-point each other as Apple continued share gains. At least Xiaomi chose 3MB L2 on O3.

The RMS-AM-GM-HM Inequality For any positive real numbers x₁, x₂, …, xₙ: RMS ≥ AM ≥ GM ≥ HM with equality iff all the numbers are equal. This fundamental chain connects the Root Mean Square, Arithmetic Mean, Geometric Mean, and Harmonic Mean; a classic result in mathematics.

Elon Musk (@elonmusk) praised Heart Aerospace after the company completed the first flight of its X1 battery-electric aircraft demonstrator, while saying the next important step should be autonomy. Heart said the piloted X1 flew for 27 minutes and used roughly $5 worth of electricity. The 25,000-pound aircraft climbed to 1,100 feet and delivered more than one megawatt of electric propulsion power. The company calls X1 the largest battery-electric aircraft ever flown. Founder and CEO Anders Forslund said the test demonstrated electric aviation at a scale relevant to commercial aircraft. Musk responded positively to the milestone, writing that he was glad the project was being pursued. He added that making the aircraft autonomous should be a key next step. Heart developed X1 as a test platform for its ES-30, a planned 30-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft. The company is targeting about 125 miles of all-electric range and up to 500 miles using hybrid operation. Heart is aiming for 30-minute charging and certification of the ES-30 by 2031. It says the aircraft could eventually reduce operating costs by more than 40%. The company has attracted major backing, including $107 million from Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Air Canada has also ordered 30 ES-30 aircraft and invested $5 million in Heart. Musk has previously argued that transportation will eventually become both electric and autonomous, including aircraft. Heart’s current roadmap remains focused on crewed regional aviation, so autonomy would represent a major additional step beyond its existing plans.
