To appreciate why this rollout is such a big deal, you have to look at how Tesla spent the past several years systematically re-engineering Supercharger deployment from the ground up. 📐 The evolution of prefabrication The original prefabricated Superchargers proved that factory assembly beat bespoke on-site construction, but they topped out at 12 stalls per shipment and were strictly confined to curb-backed perimeters. The Folding Unit introduced earlier this year solved the transport bottleneck by packing 16 stalls onto a single truck, yet the hardware still remained tethered to those perimeter curb lines.
