OpenAI's chatbot has some weird linguistic tics in Chinese that are driving users crazy.
Excited to join #AI# #chatbot# developer Xiaoice's Series A funding round! Are you ready to try out this smart assistant?
"I do not think a chatbot is the right interface for travel or e-commerce." - @bchesky "I think the future is not apps. The future is agents, but I don't think they're going to be text-forward. I think they're going to be really rich user interfaces." "Imagine using iMessage to do everything, when in fact every other app has a unique interface." "With e-commerce, you want a very rich user interface. It would be agentic. You can have a conversation with it, but the point is that it has to be more visual."

Remember when "AI agents" meant a chatbot in pijamas? Yeah. Halo changes that. $WARD

'New opportunities for fraudsters': Alarming report reveals AI chatbots are doxxing users' real phone numbers
A more realistic example: AIs trained to be harmless chatbots can take unsafe actions in agentic settings. Preceding this training with MSM on a realistic spec drastically improves generalization, reducing unsafe agentic actions.

Two academic research studies have revealed that "friendly" chatbots aren't always having the intended effect. Here's what to know:
ngl i think most "AI agent" projects rn all kinda look the same. - another chatbot - another dashboard - another "AI can do everything" pitch... Spent a bit of time reading @workagnt today and smth clicked for me. They're not really building chatbots. They're trying to build an AI workforce on Base. > Builders create specialized AI employees. > Businesses hire them. > Agents work 24/7. > Top performers earn more and build onchain reputation. Lowkey the flywheel here is what got me: more builders → more agents → more business usage → more value → attracts more builders again kinda simple... but simple loops usualy win lol And if AI agents can eventually hire other AI agents? thats where my brain paused for a sec. Feels less like another AI wrapper and more like LinkedIn + Upwork but for digital workers. Maybe im overthinking it tho. Curious if ppl think AI "employees" become a real thing or if we're still early 👀 $AGNT

.@maltekosub started building conversational interfaces in 2016 when the market was full of chatbots that looked great in demos but broke in production. He saw something others didn't: voice—not chat—would be where enterprises needed AI most. He teamed up with @o_stefan to make a bet that required playing the long game. While others chased quick wins, Malte and Stefan built @parloa_ai for the largest enterprises in the world, including highly regulated industries where latency, compliance, and reliability are non-negotiable. They built Parloa to be transparent about capabilities, accountable for outcomes, and empathetic to what's at stake when customer conversations are on the line. This is European AI competing on the global stage, in dozens of languages, and complex regulatory frameworks. Major enterprises like trust Parloa with millions of conversations every day. We've known Malte and Stefan from the early days, co-led their Series C, and General Catalyst is proud to lead their $350M Series D. More from @jcfurstenberg and @max_rimpel:
