Tonight, an overwhelming majority of my Senate colleagues and I advanced sanctions legislation at a critical juncture in this war: where Russia is the weakest it’s been in years. The time is now to honor Senator Lindsey Graham’s legacy by giving President Trump the economic firepower he needs to end Putin’s war of aggression and hold Tehran accountable for fueling 47 years of terrorism across the globe. Let’s get this done.

Congratulations to Jay Clayton on being confirmed by the Senate as Director of National Intelligence. This was an outstanding pick by @POTUS, and I have no doubt he will serve our intelligence community and our national security interests well.

Russia has never been in a weaker position than it is today. The time to take on Vladimir Putin and his band of oligarchs, thugs, and war criminals is now. We must pass the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026.

As I have always stated, I will stay in Washington and work as long as it takes to get the job done. Right now, our work is getting the SAVE America Act passed, the Russia-Iran Sanctions bill passed, confirming President Trump’s nominees, and preventing another Democratic shutdown before the August state work period. Our job is to work for the people who sent us here and deliver results. End of story.

@SenKatieBritt (R-Montgomery) says she is prepared to work through the Senate’s August recess “as long as it takes” to complete several major Republican priorities. The commitment comes after President Donald Trump called on Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) to keep senators in Washington until they pass the SAVE America Act or eliminate the legislative filibuster. @SenTuberville (R-Auburn) separately endorsed both canceling the recess and ending the filibuster. “The Senate has done NOTHING to deserve a five-week break,” Tuberville wrote in a social media post, citing military funding, the possibility of a government shutdown and election-security legislation. There’s no place like Sweet Home Alabama, and Fairhope truly is a treasure. Come see us again soon, Freddy! You’re always welcome.
Because many people have been asking us about it: Our favorite states from the trip were Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas. Our favorite town was Fairhope, Alabama, and our favorite food spot was Taco Bell.

Congratulations, @SusieWiles47! Thank you for your service. 🇺🇸
Some late afternoon meetings in the Oval Office are more interesting and historical than others. Listening to two brilliant House Speakers and President Trump talk about issues of the day is just one of so many reminders of how fortunate I am to have my job. And, I am now apparently the longest serving Chief of Staff to President Trump. Such an honor.

@SenKatieBritt is right: sick and twisted - which is where “safe, legal and rare” has naturally led.
Sick and twisted. It is beyond comprehension that any legislature would pass this law. To Democrats who say this never happens, explain this. We must protect the unborn. If we don’t, who will?

@SenKatieBritt (R-Montgomery) is celebrating a $15 million federal award for HudsonAlpha that could expand rural manufacturing, farm revenue and scientific innovation across Alabama. 🚨@USDA will purchase up to $20 million worth of U.S. farm-raised catfish products, following a letter I sent with @SenHydeSmith. Alabama’s catfish industry is a major economic driver for our state, and I am thankful that Secretary Rollins continues to put hardworking agriculture producers first.

It was great to welcome the HudsonAlpha team to Washington this week! @NSF’s recent $15 million investment in @hudsonalpha’s BRIDGES Engine is a major win for Alabama and a testament to the groundbreaking work happening at HudsonAlpha. I look forward to seeing this initiative drive innovation, create jobs, and deliver lasting economic opportunity across rural Alabama.

Almost 30 percent of women in Alabama do not have a birthing hospital within 30 minutes of their homes, which is significantly higher than the national average. We must give our communities the tools they need to remedy this issue, which is why I’m proud to champion the Rural Obstetrics Readiness Act.

Data centers should pay for their own electricity, not hardworking Americans. I support @POTUS taking steps to protect ratepayers while maintaining our competitive edge over China and ensuring America remains a global leader in technological advancement. This is the way.

Today, President Trump will expand his Ratepayer Protection Pledge to governors, legislators, developers, and power providers to ensure everyone involved in building and powering data centers covers their own costs instead of passing them on to American families. @POTUS’s bold action is turning data centers into engines of growth for local communities, while cementing America’s dominance in the global AI race. 🇺🇸 💪🏻

Since taking office, I’ve been proud to work on improving healthcare outcomes for women and rural Alabamians across our state because every woman deserves access to quality maternity care, no matter her zip code. Today I was asked why I felt called to serve Alabama. The answer is simple: I love our state. To the Alabamians, families, and Capitol Hill interns who joined Coffee with Katie this morning, thank you! What an honor and a privilege to represent you all in the U.S. Senate.
