A bit late but I finished expedition 33, absolutely class game all around
It's inspiring seeing the clear passion in the writing, music, performances and game design
The attention to detail with environmental storytelling, so many secrets in its beautiful world :)
We finally finished Claire Obscure: Expedition 33 and I ugly cried the entire time. What a masterpiece. This game really brought out everything I love about RPGs. Now my favourite part; hyper-fixate and watch hours and hours of lore videos on YouTube.
Anita Sarkeesian shared photos from this year’s Game Developers Conference with members of the team that made Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
In her post she wrote: “Went to GDC like I do every year. Didn’t take many photos like every year, but here’s some proof of life.”
“Met a bunch of Clair Obscur folks…”
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of the most acclaimed games in the story of the games.
Please don’t even get together with this person or she will ruin your franchise.
It was espically cool to see Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 and Monster Hunter: Wilds each receiving rewards respectively!! My personal favourite games this year so far!! 💫⭐️

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi recently shared his thoughts on the future of RPG combat systems
He said that games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “may have been inevitable” as newer players increasingly prefer real-time gameplay over traditional turn-based combat.
According to Hamaguchi, many younger players grew up with fast-paced action games and online multiplayer titles, which has changed expectations for modern RPGs.
As a result, more developers are moving toward action-focused combat systems that feel faster and more interactive.
At the same time, he made it clear that turn-based RPGs are not disappearing.
