Is AI freezing headcount? Not for hypergrowth companies (companies growing revenue 100%+ YOY). Hypergrowth companies generally reported increased headcount by an average of 133% in the first two quarters of 2026, up from 119% in 2025. Everyone else is hiring too, just far more cautiously.
