Fumito Ueda says one of his biggest goals as a game creator is to make experiences that stick with players long after they finish playing. Speaking about his upcoming game Gen Atlas, the creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian told IGN, “I do think about leaving a mark in people’s hearts.” Rather than chasing trends or fitting into a specific genre, Ueda focuses on creating memorable moments and emotions. “I want people to remember how they felt,” he said, a hallmark of his games for years.
