Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has officially been revealed.
Simon “Ghost” Riley is returning as one of the main characters alongside Captain Price.
The campaign story takes place on the Korean Peninsula, where North Korea launches a full-scale invasion that threatens global stability.
In multiplayer, the game brings back many classic Call of Duty features that fans have been asking for:
>red dots on the minimap
>theater mode
>map voting
>no random bullet bloom for more accurate and consistent gunplay
>12 dedicated 6v6 maps available at launch
>dynamic Kill Block arenas that can reshuffle their layout in hundreds of ways during matches
>updated movement that feels faster than Modern Warfare 2, with improved mantling and slide canceling (but no Omnimovement)
>classic pick-three perk system, including options like Ninja
>full traditional Prestige system with 10 levels that reset unlocks and offer extra rewards
>two progression paths you can switch between at any time, with an exclusive Ghost skin on the regular track
>more open playlists with lighter skill-based matchmaking
>removal of the annoying “update requires restart” message
>Gunfight and Big War modes
The full game launches on October 23, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Sony and Bandai Namco have started a test project together using generative AI that can create images, animations, and other content on its own to help make video games faster and better.
This project is part of a bigger long-term partnership where the companies want to grow popular Japanese game brands around the world
They are already using generative AI to make official images for GUNPLA, the popular plastic model kits from the Gundam series.
Another tool called Mockingbird quickly turns real actor movements into full 3D animations
Sony says the AI will support the creators but never replace them, so the main ideas, designs, stories, and emotions in the games will always come from the human teams and performers.
