Hollister’s rebrand says a lot. For millennials, it’s nostalgia: the archives, the original Hollister aesthetic, and the feeling of shopping a brand that defined an era. For Gen Z, none of that history really matters (to most) they just want cute clothes that fit the way they dress now. With Hollister now available at Target, the brand is meeting consumers where they already shop. But ALSO Hollister’s limited edition 2000s Vault collection scratched the nostalgia itch for some millennials.
