Joe Rogan terrified with NASA astrophysicist Michelle Thaller about the possibility of a future world where jobs will no longer exist:
ROGAN: “All these college kids are freaking out because they went into financial debt and now have a degree that could be worthless if AI takes their job.”
THALLER: “This is why kids today have more anxiety than ever before. There is so much unknown that we don’t know if it’s going to be net positive or negative.”
ROGAN: “What happens when AI controls all the jobs and people’s income becomes dependent on the government paying them?”
THALLER: “That could be a good thing if it means people would have more time to spend on hobbies they actually enjoy doing.”
ROGAN: “It’s going to redefine what it means to be a human being in society. This idea that your purpose in life is to work for some insurance company is kind of ridiculous.”
