VIDEO | Karnataka Assembly Session: Welcoming the extension of the drought discussion, BJP MLA Mahesh Tenginkai on Wednesday said the party had demanded a 10-day session. "See, we had called for a two-three day session earlier. Whatever decision has been taken now to extend it by one day, we welcome it. And however much discussion is done about the drought, it is less," the MLA said. He said the party had sought a 10-day session when the session was to begin, as there were many other subjects to discuss apart from drought. "But now the session has been called for only two subjects. Tomorrow also we will discuss completely about the drought," he added. #KarnatakaAssemblySession#

#WATCH# | Bengaluru | Karnataka Minister HK Patil says, "I have written to the Chief Minister that Gadag should be declared drought-affected as soon as possible. Unfortunately, some officers are unnecessarily interpreting this incorrectly and deceiving farmers... Chief Minister is looking at the situation... He preferred visiting Gadag first... He was really unhappy and disturbed by the grave situation that farmers are facing... During this three-day session, I will try to put all political pressure on the government and use the forum to convince everyone. If I fail, I will continue my persuasion till the 2nd of October. If nothing happens till then, I will take a decision to resign my legislatorship between the 2nd and the 10th of October..."
