I fell down a rabbit hole regarding theories about why the government might have called in pastors about the UFO files as something in them could “shake the Christian faith”. Occam’s razor theory: little green men and space ships, aren’t very biblical. People might have questions. Likely conspiracy theory: aliens are inter-dimensional beings or some kind of demons. Wild conspiracy theory: the deep state had manufactured a file that said Jesus and two other prophets were invented by aliens to bring peace and hope to earth. This last one is of course is the most retarded shit I’ve ever read. But let’s play devil’s advocate. Why might the satanic pedophiles who run the world want us to believe our lord and savior was essentially a hologram? Wouldn’t that cause mass hysteria and chaos? Yes, but they would have control over the narrative and consequences if they could anticipate them. And once the demoralization and crisis period passed, the antichrist would show himself, and we’d flock to him, which is totally not sinister in nature at all.

Ngl I thought I was just checking another NFT collection... then I went down the rabbit hole a bit. Turns out @DKashtalyan has been creating for over 20 years before touching onchain. Not crypto-native first. Real walls. Real exhibitions. Real art journey. His work made it into The New York Times, Harper’s Magazine, MIT Technology Review, giant murals across cities, exhibitions from Taipei to Warsaw. And now all that experience becomes: THE BEAKS 1111 pieces. First onchain collection. What I like is that it doesn't feel built around "wen mint" energy. The art feels weird in a good way, surreal creatures, symbolic details, dotwork textures... almost like every piece is trying to tell you something without explaining itself. Lowkey made me stop scrolling for a minute. A lot of collections start from web3 and try becoming art later. This one feels like art entering web3 after spending decades finding its own voice.
