Microsoft is testing a new Windows 11 recovery option that could make the old “find a USB stick and reinstall Windows” much less necessary. Windows Insiders on the latest Beta Preview Build 26220.9343 can now find a Cloud Rebuild option inside the Windows Recovery Environment. This feature can perform a complete Windows reinstall even when the operating system won’t boot, downloads a fresh Windows image and the device’s drivers through Windows Update, so you don’t need installation media or a separate custom recovery image. This will be useful when Windows is seriously corrupted, you can’t boot it and need a clean installation. The problem is that this isn’t a “keep my files” reset, Cloud Rebuild is a full reinstall, so local files, apps and settings are removed, You’ll also need an internet connection for the download

Our launch bridge is back and ready for use. With a robust design, we salvaged most of the structure and reworked the bearing mating surfaces. The team also reinstalled the main water piping.

You know that you are using @OpenAI's new model when you ask a simple question expecting a simple answer but the model instead changes all the codes that you have written, update all your documents, reinstall windows, and call your mom instead of answering the question.

Microsoft is working on a new Windows 11 recovery feature called Cloud Rebuild that makes it easier to recover a PC that won’t boot. Instead of creating a USB installer, you can reinstall Windows and all required drivers directly from the cloud. The feature downloads a fresh copy of Windows and the correct drivers, then performs a clean installation. Unlike Reset this PC, Cloud Rebuild doesn’t keep your apps, files, or settings, it’s designed for cases where Windows is too damaged to repair normally.

Polkadot is rolling out a major update for developers @Polkadot is launching an important update to its Product Devnet. This update will roll out to both mobile and desktop applications simultaneously. It also introduces changes to the Devnet environment that will require developers to take specific steps to maintain access. To do this, all developers must back up their recovery phrases, remove existing backups, and then reinstall the application.

new in Dr Eggbot (v0.2.0): • eggbot can do a health check on all your routines for unused or expensive ones. it will ask if you want to do one when you first add dr eggbot, and you can also ask it to do it regularly as a routine! defaults to weekly • eggbot also now comes with a daily (customizable) routine to skim recent chats across your bots for friction (corrections, misunderstandings, “not what i meant”), then suggests skills, bots, or routines to continuously improve your grok @bot setup! to update you will need to reinstall dr eggbot. if you have anything you want to carry over, ask the new bot to copy over anything relevant, and then you can delete the old one

One neat trick for @bot is you can get one bot to create other Bots including telling it the bot’s purpose. There’s some neat things you can do with this including installing @ppressdev CLIs like the Travel GOAT, ESPN, and others then have your chief of staff bot auto create other bots that make sense to partition convos. Since all bots share the same computer you don’t have the goat rodeo of reinstalling clis over and over again.
