The 3rd-busiest advertiser on Meta is a shapewear brand most people have never heard of. We pulled the number of currently-live ads for 28,000+ brands in the Meta Ad Library. The leaderboard says a lot about where paid social is heading. Shopee, Temu, and SheCurve each run more than 20,000 live ads at the same time. For context: the median brand runs 24. What stands out: → 6 of the top 12 are DTC apparel and shapewear brands. SheCurve alone runs more live ads than SHEIN and SKIMS combined. → The rest are marketplaces — Shopee, Temu, SHEIN, Flipkart, Quince. → None of them are running "a few hero ads." They're running thousands of variations at once. The takeaway: the winning ad account stopped being a gallery of polished ads and became a testing engine. You find winners by taking thousands of shots on goal, not by betting on three. And the gap between the median advertiser (24 live ads) and the leaders (20,000+) isn't budget. It's production speed. The brands that can make creative faster simply get more chances to win.

Shortly after midnight on March 18, 1990, two men in police uniforms rang the buzzer at a side door of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and said they were responding to a disturbance. A guard let them in, against instructions. The men handcuffed him and a second guard and left them bound in the basement. Over the following 81 minutes, the thieves moved through the galleries and took 13 objects. Among them were Vermeer's The Concert, two Rembrandt paintings including his only known seascape, a painting by Govaert Flinck, a Manet, five works by Degas, a Chinese bronze vessel and a bronze eagle finial. They drove away at 2:45 a.m. and have never been identified. The stolen works are valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and the case is regarded as the largest property theft in American history. Isabella Stewart Gardner's will requires the collection to remain as she arranged it, so the museum still hangs the empty frames. The FBI has said it believes a criminal organization in the northeast carried out the theft, and has named suspects who have since died. The museum's $10 million reward stands.
