StarkWare's new demo proves your age without handing over your passport @StarkWareLtd has shown off a zero-knowledge identity system that lets you pass a KYC check without giving up your data. Called Private KYC, it runs on STRK20, @Starknet's privacy layer, and flips how verification works. You scan your passport with your phone's NFC chip, and your identity is encrypted to your own Starknet account. From there you prove just the fact that's needed, like that you're over 18, while name, birth date and document number stay sealed. No central verifier stores the document, so there's no database to breach. For now it's a demonstration, StarkWare's pitch to government and institutional teams, not a live product. But the target is real: the KYC honeypots that spill customer identities every time a verifier gets breached.
