Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, is hosting the "2026 Global Mayors Dialogue – Wuhan" from Sept. 18 to 21, themed "River City: Shared Resonance, Shared Growth," alongside the 2026 Wuhan International Friendship Cities Cooperation Conference. More than 80 foreign representatives, including mayors, vice mayors and city delegates from 24 cities in 22 countries, as well as representatives of two international organizations, have gathered along the Yangtze River for the four-day event. Around 200 Chinese and international guests are expected to participate in the program.

Wuhan is the world's first international wetland city with a population of over 10 million. It is home to 95 universities and colleges. It is also a hub for sci-tech innovation and transportation, connecting 80% of China's key cities within a 4-hour high-speed rail network.

The Wuhan Open lineup is officially out, led by world No 1 Elena Rybakina! Zheng Qinwen, who impressed at the US Open, will also return to her hometown this year. Back on home turf, she'll face the world's top players. Let's see her shine again!
