Most governance tokens are a checkbox. Ship token, add voting, call it decentralized. CTR was designed around four mechanics that actually change how this works. First is xCTR, the staked form of CTR and the only token that carries voting power. Unlike timelocked staking where you freeze capital behind an arbitrary countdown, xCTR uses an exit fee. Unstaking has a 90-day unbonding window. You can access liquidity at any point, but you pay a fee that starts at 50% and decays to zero over time. The fees paid by early unstakers stay in the xCTR vault, increasing the CTR backing of every remaining staker's position. The mechanism naturally rewards long-term alignment. Second, dual treasury. Full DAO models are slow. Full foundation models are centralized. We split the difference. Foundation handles operations, R&D, and strategic initiatives. Governance Treasury, controlled by xCTR holders, handles emissions, council selection, and infrastructure decisions. Third, optimistic governance. The biggest problem in DAO governance is that nobody votes. Quorum-based models require active participation, good proposals die from apathy. CTR's governance is optimistic. Proposals pass by default unless xCTR holders veto. If it looks good, you do nothing. You only act when something is wrong. Same trust assumptions, radically better UX. Lastly, the gauge system. xCTR holders allocate emissions to specific pools and applications through on-chain voting each epoch. Voters who LP in the pool they vote for get multiplied emissions, improving capital efficiency across the network. Projects that want deep liquidity need xCTR votes, so they build CTR treasuries or incentivize holders to vote their way. Competition channeled into productive capital allocation.

I didnโ€™t participate in the early @citrea_xyz devnet, but I was very active on testnet, writing Citrea testnet guides and helping people understand the ecosystem. When the mainnet launched, I challenged myself to test almost every app in the Citrea ecosystem. I was pushing about $500 volume daily with just my $50 capital by constantly swapping across the ecosystem. When they announced the points system, I was already ranked around #440#. I also: I bought a Citrea domain, bought Satsuma NFT, and bought Juice NFT. I provided liquidity with $20 on @SatsumaDEX, $20 on @JuiceSwap_com, and supply $20 on @ZentraFinance. I added another $10 for predicting on @foresightnow and @signalswtf, $5 each. Most of my predictions were on BTC, and thankfully, I was winning consistently. I kept swapping daily without missing activity, and by the time the snapshot was taken, I was still ranked within the top 500+. Today I checked my rewards and received 27,511 $CTR. This shows consistency matters more than huge capital. I started with little, stayed active every day, and it paid off. Iโ€™ll continue swapping daily on the Citrea ecosystem. Enjoy your day bappers.

Thank you so much @citrea_xyz for recognizing those who supported the community (I did my best within my capabilities). Being here since before Devnet was worth every minute in the community and on the blockchain. I'm very happy with my rewards and sincerely hope that both TGE and the blockchain are a success!๐ŸŠ๐Ÿงก $CTR $xCTR

thank you @citrea_xyz i have been full time in web3 for a few years. i read about it, follow it every day, and stay active in almost every corner of it. i was writing about zk and citrea even before i became an official bapper, back when citrea was still on devnet. i have always been into zk, and i still follow zk projects out of real curiosity. i still hold and stake my allocations from boundless, succinct, and others, powering their infra. and i keep up with their updates. yay making money matters. but i genuinely like this space, whether it pays or not. and citrea has been special to me since day one. it actually brings something new. something bitcoin needs. something bitcoin holders need. and something miners will need too. after a few more years, miners will need more reasons to stay motivated. citrea is thinking about them as well. in only 12 weeks since mainnet, citrea has paid 0.53 btc in l1 fees to bitcoin miners. i wrote about citrea from the beginning, and i'll keep writing about it. i'll keep following the news, the updates, and the be more active on the ecosystem. i really like what is being built here. as a bapper, and more importantly as someone from the community, i want to ask the team @0x_orkun for one thing: please consider opening a form for people who believe they met the airdrop criteria but are shown as not eligible. let them send their case to the team. cm

I guess most people do not really understand what @citrea_xyz did Bro, they reward real time active community members Not just; Discord farmers Testnet and devnet farmers Any how creators Mainnet farmers Rather they combined the both and qualify it to be fit for reward and I think they also considered longevity Bcos some of us have been on citrea since and still actively creating and participating in activities in the ecosystem without any reward in view Fellas!

I entered Web3 at the beginning of 2024. Not long after, I found @citrea_xyz , and that was where a lot of things started to make sense to me. I was still a beginner, everything was new, BTC, devnet, testnet, bridges, explorers, campaignsโ€ฆ and Citrea ended up becoming the perfect environment for me to learn, make mistakes, test things, and grow. I followed every phase closely, and somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the project. Because for me, Citrea was never just a campaign. It was where I started to understand Bitcoin in a more practical way, by using it, testing it, following the network, and seeing how everything connects. And maybe thatโ€™s why I believe so much in the long term. Citrea is not just another L2, It is the L2 Bitcoin deserves. โ‚ฟapper since early days and it still feels like just the beginning ๐ŸŠ

tldr; @citrea_xyz is an economic city on bitcoin. - $CTR: a raw piece of city's economy. - $xCTR: your citizen voting card, but you only get it when you lock or stake your ctr. - the governance treasury: the city's shared public budget. - the foundation treasury: city hall's operating budget. - the gauge system: how citizens vote on where incentives should go; which neighborhood, market, or business gets support. when someone leaves too early, part of their staked tokens gets cut and goes to the people who stayed. the city should be shaped by real residents and builders, not people who show up to farm rewards and disappear. simple & powerful
