Hi
@wcthub .
@WalletConnect Pay is wanted in VietNam
Today, I went shopping at the Aeon cũng Mall near my house and had a quick chat with the cashier about the payment system at the cashless checkout counter.
While paying, I asked:
"What payment methods do you currently accept?"
He told me that the store accepts bank transfers, card payments, and QR codes. He even showed me the D210 POS terminal, which displayed Vietinbank on the screen.
I followed up with:
"Has the supermarket ever accepted crypto or USDT before? What would you think if, in the future, we could just scan crypto to pay as easily as a QR code?"
He replied:
"If it’s doable, easy to use, and doesn't slow down the checkout process, it would be quite convenient. As sellers, we just need the payment to be fast, the steps to be clear, and for it not to be complicated."
What I really liked was how friendly the cashier was. When I asked about the POS machine, he even proactively turned the device around so I could get a better view and introduced its features quite enthusiastically.
I feel that the supermarket is quite open to crypto payments; they even have dedicated POS checkout counters for customers.
What they truly need is a payment experience that is simple, familiar, and as easy to use as the way they swipe cards or scan QR codes every day.
