Post card from Italy ❤️ Fun fact about @ArthurMacwaters and me: we’ve spent more of our relationship apart than together. We did long distance while dating, and somehow even found ourselves doing versions of it in marriage. A few things we’ve learned along the way: - Your marriage will go in the direction you both choose. - Invest in each other’s growth. - Don’t let your spouse shrink in a hard season. Remind them who they are and what they’re capable of. - Surround yourself with healthy couples. Have mentors. - Pray together. Every day. - Talk about the hard things before resentment gets a chance to grow. - Stay curious about each other. Never stop learning the person you married. - Give more than you take. Not for what comes back, but because generosity has a way of producing fruit. Grateful for 4 years going on forever
