Ethereum Developers Find New Path For Smarter Transactions
Ethereum's EIP 8141 authors have found a new way to make transactions more programmable.
The proposal uses programmable contract calls called “frames” for transaction features. These frames could handle validation, gas payments and user operations.
The design could reduce the need for repeated transaction envelope changes. Ethereum developer Derek Chiang called the approach a “design breakthrough.”
The proposal still requires client implementation and changes to Ethereum consensus rules.
